Merry Christmas from Light of the World Club

The Best Gift EVER

In early December we welcomed Jap Ja Mun Pan (Ah Pan), Jap Brang Mun’s sister, who will be starting college at Trevecca University in January. What a gift it was for all of us to finally meet her in person! Ah Pan has been in our program since we started and has been serving faithfully as a translator for the past two years. We will be hosting an open house to officially introduce her to our community and to furnish her with supplies she will need for the start of school next month. Here is a link to the Evite if you are in the Nashville area and would like to join us! WELCOME EVITE!

Save the Date

Plans are underway for our next Live Storytelling Event on May 16th here in Nashville. Please mark your calendars! We already have several amazing storytellers and musicians lined up and are eager to share all of the highlights from the past year. If you enjoyed the event last year you definitely won’t want to miss this one!

Prayer

LuLu and her husband, La Ring, 4 days after surgery
  • Our Founder

This past week, our precious founder, LuLu underwent a 14-hour surgery to remove an acoustic neuroma. She is doing amazingly well but will have to work hard over the next few months to regain her strength and balance. Please pray for a quick recovery and praise God with us for the amazing surgeons at Vanderbilt who specialize in this surgery. We are very grateful for the ways God has provided for her and carried her through this diagnosis and surgery.

  • Our Classes

We launched another class this past month with a new volunteer teacher and 5 brand new students. Internet is still unavailable to many of our students in Kachin State, although a few have managed to rejoin our classes in the past few weeks. Please join us in praying that the internet is restored for them soon.

With Deep Gratitude

We are grateful for the support and prayers of all of you who make this ministry possible. May you have a blessed Christmas as we celebrate the reason for everything we do at Light of the World Club. Our teachers, board members, students, and their families send our love and wishes for a truly wonderful Christmas. We look forward to what God has in store for us all in 2025.
