This season has been one of incredible growth for Light of the World Club (LOTWC). From our humble inception as a small weekly Zoom class, LOTWC has existed to fulfill this mission:
To empower families in Myanmar through education and spiritual discipleship
We are excited to share what has been happening over the past few months and how your faithful support is propelling this mission forward in a country that has experienced unimaginable darkness for decades.
Launching In-Country Classes
The past few months have been incredibly busy as we have followed God’s leading to launch classes on the ground in Myanmar. In addition to holding our weekly Zoom classes and developing curriculum, we spent much of the summer creating job descriptions and laying the groundwork for hiring teachers. In August we hired three amazing teachers who are starting weekly classes in Myanmar this month.

Student Updates

Our two college students, Jap and Ah Pan had a busy summer and are both settling into this next school year here in Nashville. Jap is beginning his junior year as a business major, and Ah Pan is starting her second semester as a double major in information technology and music. They continue to participate in weekly discipleship meetings and give back to this ministry. Ah Pan serves as a translator for one of our classes, and Jap has been helping with logistics as our “Classroom Operations Manager.” Both of them have such servant hearts and are a delight to us. If you were unable to attend our event this spring you can watch a little video of them here: Meet Two of Our Students Video
Thank you!
Light of the World Club would not exist without the support of our volunteers and generous donors. As we expand the scope of our program and as more of our students reach college-age, the needs of this ministry are increasing. We would love to talk with you about ways you can partner with us. If you have a heart to teach a class, serve on a committee, mentor a student, invest financially in one of our teachers, or provide funding for potential scholarship candidates, let’s talk! Just shoot us an email at lightotworldclub@gmail.com or fill-out the “Get Involved” page. Together we can empower more families and expand the kingdom of God in Myanmar.
